Great experience on the air boat tour! Of course it happened to be freezing cold and a bit rainy, but we made the best of it. James made sure we were comfortable and even got us to see a gator even in the bad weather. The airboat was awesome, fun. Definitely a once in a lifetime activity. Don’t book on trip advisor. Just google the name and it’s actually cheaper to book through their website?? Not sure why.

The guide was very friendly and was sure to make our trip fun. He also offered many details about the Everglades. He was very kind and knowledgeable. We would HIGHLY recommend taking this trip. We definitely will be doing the tour again.

After you find your way to the meeting spot everything is good. The signage for the ride is non-existent. Suffice it to say, when you see the little booth at the opening to the park - turn left. (There is a porta potty here - past the entrance to the main park}. The road on the left looks a little rough, but you are headed in the right direction. Follow the bumpy road until you see the public boat ramp on the right - don’t park near the water. We arrived early and could hear the airboats on the hour. Captain Dan was the best. He pointed out so many birds and the flora and fauna native to the Everglades. And of course, we saw alligators nestled in the vegetation and a few swimming, along with turtles and snake birds. And who knew that peopple actually had “vacation” houses out there, complete with generators, air conditioning and gas grills!!! Be sure to wear sunscreen and bring a windbreaker. And don’t forget your camera.

Dan and Karl provided us with a memorable and exhilarating experience. The beauty of this ecosystem was knowledgeably shared and we sighted multiple gators, birds and varied flora. Sheer exhilaration racing over the reeds in that amazing fan boat. Would definitely do it again.

The ride lasted about 10 minutes dilute to weather issues. It began to rain hard and there was intense lightning. It was fun while it lasted. Have to try again when the weather is better.
