Sawgrass Recreation Park
1 hr - In this private Florida Everglades Airboat tour, your experienced captain will guide your craft across the river of sawgrass and cattails at speeds up to 40 mph (64 km), all under the cover of dark. As you glide across the swamp, you’ll hear the calls and rustling of the Everglades’ nocturnal creatures. Your guide will tell you stories about the Seminole Indians who lived in this wilderness, as well as the panthers, birds, snakes, frogs, fish and bugs that call this national wildlife preserve home. In addition to this fascinating airboat adventure, you’ll also gain entrance to exhibit areas at Sawgrass Recreation Park during normal daytime hours. You’ll see many species both native and exotic to Florida, learn about a 1,000-pound alligator and interact with animals in the swamp yard exhibit. Important Note: Pricing is based on a per person basis; regardless of number of people booking, you are buying out the whole boat for your private tour. All ages are welcome to enjoy the airboat tour. Children 3 years and under need not be included in the guest count as there are no additional charges for this age.

Private Night Airboat Ride

Captain Disco was great, informative and a good guide. We saw 4 alligators, but it’s understandable once you learn about the alligators move around in their habitat. It was pretty cool they way he would spot them with the flashlight.

Fun Had By All

Captain Chuck really showed us a good time! We saw alligators, herons, coots and fish. The sunset was beautiful! Highly recommend the private over the group, for the main reason the boat. The group boat sit down inside, like an amusement ride. Private group boat sits high on top of the boat. You get a better view, lots of wind and the feeling of gliding over the saw grass is so fun!

A new appreciation for the beauty of the Florida Everglades.

Anyone who has the time should consider this tour. The Everglades at night are so beautiful--ethereal is how I would describe it. And it was fun searching for alligators. Well worth the time and money.
