Full Day Everglades Tour

I booked this tour as I was assured by Ben that my wife's special travel needs (she walks with a cane and uses an Inogen portable oxygen device) could be met, and to add to our bucket list of visiting as many National Parks as we could. The tour was on December 11, 2022, following a Panama Canal cruise. Our tour guide was Zac, who is 10-star. He's a walking encyclopedia of knowledge of the area flora, fauna and history, related with enthusiasm and made interesting. Importantly, he graciously accommodated my wife's special travel needs, and she was able to participate in all aspects of the tour comfortably, without inconveniencing the others in the tour group. Zac even made an unscheduled stop a very short distance off the highway on the way back, at our request, to for a photo op with the Everglades NP entrance sign, to add to our list of similar ones, which all of the others in the group did as well. On the 10,000 Islands boat trip, Captain Aaron, at our request (to fill another bucket list item), successfully located a mother dolphin and her baby, in open water. He maneuvered the boat so they could willingly follow us in its wake, where they entertained us for several minutes. Aaron had previously spotted a dolphin in a shallow bay, but stayed away from it because it was feeding, and out of respect for that, he didn't want to disturb it, which we totally agreed with. That was unlike another tour boat in the area, who disregarded that philosophy and drove his boat right up to the dolphin and disrupted its feeding. Lunch at the Smallwood Store was also very good. We were picked up precisely on time at our hotel in Miami Downtown Brickell and dropped off only a few minutes after the scheduled time (our fault because of the photo op request). Great tour, and kudos to Ben for the itinerary and his staff. We highly recommend Wild Lime Adventures.

Highly Recommended

Amazing, five stars. Went with three adults and three kids as young as 8. Mike from Wild Lime led the tour and it was very informative - Everglades are great. Saw gators, dolphins, tons of wildlife.

Well work the investment of time and money for priceless memories and helpful education of nature

We signed up for a full day of activities on Dec. 15, 2022, and we were picked up by our two guides, Stacy and Elijah. From the very start to the very end, they were courteous, friendly, and very good at explaining helpful details and the background history of each stop we made. We started the day and worked East to West, with a Miccosukee Indian, Elvis, taking our small group of 6 guests on an air boat across the Everglades NP grasslands to a historic Indian island. There we meet "Mother," an alligator of 65+ years of age who allowed Elvis to open her jaw, rub her belly, and others of us to 'touch' the calm and friendly alligator. The temperature was perfect in the mid-70s as we whisked across the grass and water. We visited the Oasis welcome center of the Big Cypress national preserve, where a plethora of different bird species, fish, and lots of black alligators enjoyed the weather. It was very interesting to understand the different topologies and historical references in the different areas we visited. Another exciting time with a fast, small boat that left Smallwood Store in Everglades city for a tour of the 10,000 islands area. We saw a dolphin, the mangrove tree-covered islands, and the islands but just from shells from a thousand years of civilization. Bravo to Stacy and her son, Elijah would both contributed to a memorable day for my wife and I

Great tour

We had a great trip. The Big Cypress nature walk, the boat ride through the islands and the air boat ride were all excellent but the best part was our guide, Zack, who was exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. His ability to spot animals and plants was outstanding, We highly recommend this tour

Amazing Day!!! Highly recommend!

Lindsay was so amazing! She made our whole tour! She was so knowledgeable and fun. We saw many alligators and birds. We had an amazing experience of seeing an alligator eating a turtle. Lindsay shared the videos she took with us. Elvis did a great job with the airboat and picking out alligator for us to see. It was fun to see Mama, an alligator that has been around for 60 plus years and was somewhat used to people. Travis was fun and informative on our boat ride in the Gulf of Mexico. We loved seeing dolphins. There was a mother and baby dolphins that were very fun to watch. Lunch was awesome. Lindsay showed us much flora and fauna in Big Cypress National Preserve. She was such a wealth of knowledge which made it so much more interesting. We would request Lindsay again. Her energy reminded us of our youngest daughter. We are sold on Wild Lime Adventures and will use them again!!
